Life is Suite: Our first impressions of SuiteConnect
Please note: This post was written by Highlander prior to their rebrand to FluidOne Business IT - Sheffield.
Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending NetSuite’s annual end of year event, “SuiteConnect”, in Park Lane, London. It was Highlander’s first time visiting the conference, but we were so impressed by the lively, energetic, and highly informative occasion that it certainly won’t be the last.
Joined by over 400 other NetSuite partners from all over Europe, as well as customers and prospective customers of NetSuite, the theme of this year’s event was “Let’s Grow Together”. Over the past year, NetSuite has experienced an astonishing 25% growth, which, according to independent research highlighted at SuiteConnect, has been reflected in the growth of organisations who have implemented the world #1 cloud ERP.
Short and Suite
A one-day event, SuiteConnect provided the perfect platform to shout about the opportunities for growth NetSuite has made possible, and included a few excellent keynotes from such influential speakers as innocent drinks and JamJar Investments co-founder, Richard Reed.
Here are the top 3 things we learned at SuiteConnect:
1) The smell of SuiteSuccess
We’re really excited about NetSuite’s new tailored, vertical-specific product, SuiteSuccess. The talk of the conference, SuiteSuccess takes the fact that every business is unique into account and offers a pre-built solution aligned to that specific vertical, providing greater automation and improved operational efficiencies while reducing the need for configuration. Thanks to pre-defined user-friendly dashboards, the time-to-deploy is significantly diminished, so users can start seeing the benefits of the solution straight away. SuiteSuccess will be available from Highlander from November 2018, so ask us about it to get the full lowdown on how it could revolutionise your ERP experience.
2) Making Tax Digital (MTD)
With the April 2019 deadline for MTD ever-approaching, the topic of digital tax returns was a key focus at SuiteConnect. The main objectives of MTD are to make tax administration more effective, more efficient, and far easier; NetSuite plans to make this incredibly simple for their customers. As the world’s #1 cloud ERP solution, its highly intelligent, comprehensive interface streamlines financials and vastly simplifies management, so becoming MTD compliant should be a breeze.
3) Looking to the future
SuiteConnect also offered us the opportunity to gain some insight into NetSuite’s future roadmaps. These consist largely of both new productivity tools that will begin to incorporate the many advantages of artificial intelligence, and finance-driven platforms that enable consolidated invoicing and predictive, automated cashflow. Among this line-up of new tools is a new NetSuite tax engine for multicurrency. This awesome engine enables all tax requirements to be automated, regardless of where they are in the globe, ensuring ultimate tax consistency across the entire network from multiple office locations.
In addition to these top 3 take-aways, we were also pleased to learn that Excel’s popular PivotTable feature will soon be implemented into NetSuite, as well as enhanced graphical reporting that will offer new chart features and interfaces in the dashboard for both management information and business intelligence (BI).
SuiteConnect is a fantastic opportunity for everyone connected with NetSuite to get a first-hand look at the latest developments and innovative roadmaps that are laying the groundwork for the future of the ERP platform.
